He is commissioned throughout Europe and USA collaborating with leading creatives on campaigns such as Peroni, Anglo American, HSBC, Nike, Adidas, Visa and Siemens. Recognised by the Association of Photographers, the European Art Directors Club, the Design and Art Directors Club, the John Kobal Portrait Awards, Archive 200 Best Photographers, his portraits are included in the permanent collection of both the English and Scottish National Portrait Galleries. To shoot the Jenufa image we cast an actress who could bring the emotion to the role; someone who could cry on demand. During the shoot the tears were so convincing that I stopped to see if our model, Ali, was OK? The image was shot in in an empty rehearsal room at the ENO using constant 'film lighting' to get the cinematic feel, but also so that we could shoot a moving image of the scene at the same time. I actually created a 'Cinemagraph', whereby the resulting still image has a moving tear rolling down the cheek.
