Cosi fan Tutte, 1981, Programme Cover

Cosi fan Tutte is an opera in two acts by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, first performed on 26 January 1790 at the Burgtheater in Vienna, Austria. The title, Cosi fan Tutte, literally means "So do they all", using the feminine plural (tutte) to indicate women. It is usually translated into English as "Women are like that". A firm favourite in ENO's repertoire, performed on 37 occasions since 1931. This print is taken from the programme cover for the revival of director John Cox's award winning new production in 1982.
