As this delightful tale of a woman’s quest for love unfolds, their burgeoning romance is hampered by mishap, intrigue and comedic misadventure. Performed by the ENO 12 times since 1931 this print is taken from the programme cover in 1980 that marked a new production by Director Colin Graham.
