Philip Glass’s mesmeric masterpiece has become an icon of contemporary opera. Satyagraha, a Sanskrit word meaning ‘truth force’, looks at Mahatma Gandhi’s early years in South Africa and his development of non-violent protests as a political tool. Phelim McDermott's highly-acclaimed production was first staged by ENO in 2007. For this revival, McDermott reunited with Glass specialist and frequent collaborator, the conductor Karen Kamensek.
Our performance artwork prints are printed at full-bleed as they were designed to be viewed in this format.
The prints are produced using the giclée method, which refers to an inkjet printing process, using light fast water based pigment inks. All frames are hand-made and hand-finished by skilled craftsmen. They use high quality, museum-standard acrylic glazing offering 92% clarity and 90% UV protection.
